In a hospital in Rosario (Argentina), he took his last breath. He was 68 years old and had been battling a long illness for a few years. He was also Lionel Messi’s long-time manager and one of his first coaches.

Jorge Messi was born in 1958 in the city of Rosario in Argentina. He came from a simple family. As he grew up, he worked as a supervisor in a steel factory. When Lionel Messi started playing matches at small local clubs as a child, Jorge Messi was one of his first coaches.
