The opener Azam Awais was back in the pavilion on the very first ball without scoring a run. Right after that, captain Shan Masood also fell to Robinson with just 5 runs to his name.
Abdullah Shafiq’s fighting innings:
After the early setbacks, Abdullah Shafiq held one end and batted smartly. He played an important innings of 61 runs with the help of 8 fours, trying to rescue the team from trouble. On the other side, Imam-ul-Haq also contributed well with 42 runs, but after this partnership broke, the Pakistani middle order wobbled once again.

Ollie Robinson was England’s most successful bowler today. In his 16-over spell, he gave away just 39 runs and took 4 crucial wickets. Besides him, Josh Tong also bowled brilliantly, picking up 2 wickets.
